How far can the ArmorEye zoom?
The ArmorEye 2.0 uses a 5–50mm zoom lens, providing approximately 10X optical zoom. The app can extend this to up to 20X hybrid zoom, which combines optical and digital zoom for closer viewing of distant areas.
Does the ArmorEye record 24 hours a day?
When operating from solar and battery power, the ArmorEye uses motion-triggered recording to conserve energy. Continuous 24/7 recording is available when the camera is connected to a continuous 5V power supply.
Does the ArmorEye work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Choose the 4G version if Wi-Fi is not available at the installation location. The 4G camera requires a compatible SIM card and mobile network coverage.
How large is the battery?
The ArmorEye includes a 20,000mAh rechargeable battery, made up of four 5000mAh 21700 battery cells, and is paired with a 9W ETFE solar panel.
Is the ArmorEye suitable for farms and remote properties?
Yes. The ArmorEye is particularly suited to gates, sheds, driveways, livestock areas, machinery and other locations where running power or network cabling is difficult. Choose the 4G version for locations without Wi-Fi.
Can the ArmorEye replace a wired CCTV system?
The ArmorEye is a strong option where wire-free installation and remote monitoring are priorities. However, when running from solar and battery it uses motion-triggered recording rather than continuous recording. If continuous 24/7 recording is required, the camera needs a continuous 5V power supply.
